Steven H. Osman
Active in real estate development since 1972, Steve joined ARO Real Estate in 2001. A graduate of the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1967, he also obtained his J.D. from UMKC in 1972. As a partner in a law firm specializing in real estate and business law, he has been involved in the development and ownership of a variety of commercial, multi-family, and office properties in the Kansas City metropolitan area and in other communities. Being in both the corporate world as president of two different successful high tech companies and with extensive experience in real estate finance as the former Chairman of the Board of a real estate oriented bank, his perspective is unique in combining all of the various disciplines necessary to a successful real estate project.

J. Beto Lopez - Senior Associate
J. Beto Lopez is a senior associate with ARO Real Estate. He has been involved in commercial real estate brokerage, finance, and development for the past 12 years. Beto spent the first 6 years of his real estate career with both the Economic Development Corporation of Kansas City and then with Cohen-Esrey Commercial Real Estate Company. Beto then served the next 5 years as Vice President of Commercial and SBA lending for both US Bank and Bank of America. Beto joined ARO in October of 2005 and focuses on retail development and brokerage. He is highly committed to the local community and is actively involved in various civic endeavors. Currently, Beto serves as First Vice Chairman and Chairman of the Construction and Development Committee for the Jackson County Sports Complex Authority. Beto is a board member for the Guadalupe Centers and is a board member for the Overland Bancorp, parent company for the Bank of Belton and First Trust of Mid-America. He is a graduate of Rockhurst University and received a Master of Business Degree from Baker University.

Elaine A. Gower - Office Manager
Elaine brings 33 years of knowledge and expertise in the fields of real estate brokerage and real estate law. She has been a business associate and friend of the Osmans for over 27 years. She became a licensed Real Estate Agent in 1974, a licensed Real Estate Broker in 1970, and a commercial real estate paralegal in 1980. At ARO Real Estate, Elaine wears many hats and plays many roles – office manager, broker, paralegal, administrative assistant, bookkeeper, graphic artist, photographer, and more. Some of her responsibilities are preparation of all legal documents (i.e. leases, contracts, etc.), tenant accounting, creation of property marketing bulletins, update of websites, and daily office operations. Besides her active involvement in all aspects of real estate, Elaine enjoys her granddaughter and adopted retired racing Greyhounds.

Julie Tushaus - Controller
Julie Tushaus joined ARO Real Estate in April of 2007, following over fifteen years of accounting and financial administration with several companies. Julie’s prior real estate accounting experience includes treasurer of Scout Development Corporation in Kansas City and controller of Reading Company in Philadelphia. Her most recent position was controller of the Overland Park Chamber of Commerce. She also spent three years in public accounting with Ernst & Young. Julie graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and accounting from the University of Kansas. Julie enjoys traveling, KU basketball, and spending time with her husband and four children.
